PICTURE BOOK
Page 1

Jason was a lonely boy. He always wanted friends, but he was too afraid to talk his classmates. He would watch them all play and have a good time while he sat there and watched what they would do.

“I want to go talk to them”, he said with a frown on his face, but instead he just watched and stood in his place.

He came to his house that night and looked to his mirror on the wall. “Today was bad, but my hope will not fall.” He would lie on his bed, and swore to do better. He laid out his clothes and a shiny new sweater.  Maybe kids will talk to me if I wear cool clothes. He had a twinkle in his eyes and he wiggled his nose.

He woke up in the morning, excited as can be, and then he put on his clothes faster than a countdown to 3.

He ran to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, then bumped into his much older brother Heath. “Brother” he said with a huge smile, “you’re growing up and I haven’t spoken to you in a while. I just wanted to say, you can make many friends, just don’t give, there is never an end.” Jason smiled. Looked up with glee, then ran outside, happy as can be.

He walked across the street and made it to school. Hoping he would speak and not feel like a fool. He took three steps to the nearest group, but walked back to his seat feeling like poop. “COME ON JASON!” He said to himself. “You can’t be another book on a shelf! Today we are going to talk the kids, don’t be afraid just go for it!”

A burst of courage, blasted through him and he ran to a group, even though no one knew him. His blue eyes shining, his brown hair glowing, all this power, his hope was growing!

“Hi everyone!”  He said with a smile. “Mind if I talk to you all for a while.” The boys in girls all smile and welcomed him.” Finally Jason has fit right in. In a matter of minutes he made new friends. That’s the last of this tale. Goodbye.
THE END.
